Telstra Customer Service at its best...(My best friend Sheena)

If you're bored and up for reading a long and comical conversation then this is the blog post for you!

 This conversation started with Telstra at around 10:30 am... In the previous screen i've identified myself and explained that I seem to have an issue with my data and credit being used up...(I had $96 which is now down to $6, and NO data)



Blah blah blah, a lot of me babbling about how I don't understand why it's all been used so quickly... A lot of her giving me IT advice I don't need...

100mb ? Whoopdy doo! Oh hang on she's upped the offer!

She nearly has me giving up and gone here, i'm contemplating what I will need more (Data or credit) when I decide I better double check how much of my calls and text bonus I have left...

I love this she goes away for hours to check my account and I have to wait...I go for 2 min to shove some food at my two year old to keep him quiet and I get a 'hurry up' message! 
Plus who the hell is Shane??
Ok now she's telling me i've used all my calls and texts as well, something smells fishy!

Now she's really trying to get rid of me she's pushing that offer at me pretty fast! Here is what I can now see on my screen...


Please picture me, babe in arms, two year old clawing at me, with my calculator quickly trying to add up data usage from the 20th...needless to say, I got it wrong (Hey I missed one entry) I add up 1180mb when it's actually closer to 1380mb... Either way it's my understanding that I get 1.5gb of data sooo I'm ON TO SOMETHING!

HaHa not my finest hour but she's really desperate to get me offline now... she's upping the offer!... Please note the repetitive nature of the next part of the conversation... 

First time she said 'it did not' (Which I take to mean it did not change) Second time she says 'It is the same' (which I take to mean that it is the same) WHERE am I going wrong??
...meanwhile I go back into my phone to find the text I get from Telstra each month...

SWEET! It wasn't a 700mb bonus it was a 1GB bonus!! i'm WAY under (even with my wrong calculation) and i'm going for it! 
I get so excited I start IM stuttering...

and then she shoots me down... huh??

Ok now the blood pressure is going up...

NOW she's trying to tell me my credit is gone because of calls and texts? I have the flippin' history in FRONT OF ME!!

ooop there it is, I used her name...getting serious now! (Plus i'm double 'pleasing' so I must be REALLY serious)
This is getting good now...

Does she NOT have a calculator? Now she's only going to give back my credit and no data, even though I STILL haven't used my monthly allowance? PLUS she suggests I spend that credit to get a data top up (Which i'm pretty sure you can't do unless you're overseas...have they changed that too Sheena? huh? huh?)...Ooh hang on..I think she's finally going to get a calculator...

HAHA please bear with me, oh my, what have I been doing?? (btw it's now fast approaching 12:30. and my kids are feral so you know where you can put that smiley face)


Oh Happy day! you've given me what I deserve because it was TELSTRA'S issue! AND I get to keep you as my personal consultant...could this day get any better?? I don't think so... 


Two hours of my time, where I have to do Telstra's job for them, spend ages explaining myself and then bargaining with them to fix THEIR fault!

Despite asking her twice to email me a copy of the conversation she didn't...hence the screen shots. 
And that lovely little promised email with a link directly back to her came, only problem is it's linking me back to Mary Grace, wait what? isn't your name Sheena? or is it Shane?

I would like to say I was credited the $81 (which IS what I asked for, not actually what they owe me, no what they owe is more like $90) 
I also randomly now have 2.88GB of Data!! WOOT - for some reason I got 2gb + 400mb +500mb Looks like I can turn my cellular data back on now! YES back to googling 'best Chinese restaurant near Darwin hospital' on my way home.
And yes i've whinged about them wasting their time and then spent another hour blogging about it but hey, the kids are in bed now, and how selfish would I be to keep this to myself?!

i just have to comment on this and say that i had a similar thing happen recently on chat.. but i was there for SIX hours! i couldn't call them as that was the issue with my phone, it wouldn't make or receive phone calls. i was so furious as they kept going around and around in circles. i asked and asked for a supervisor and got transferred to so many different people and no one helped. my goodness it was ridiculous. so i feel your pain here... in the end i wasted my time and fixed my phone myself...

That really sucks! I did an official complaint and that lady said whenever you are in a conversation that's going nowhere ask them to draw up a complaint form for you... I think too many put up with Telstra rubbish and don't officially complain... I know i don't usually!
