One day in September

Okay you may be asking what a die hard Eagles supporter is doing with people dressed up like poo and wee on her blog...
Well here are a few reasons:
1) Only two teams can play in the grand final and just because my team didn't make a showing this year should I miss out?? NO
2) Eagles are big birds and so are Hawks
3) Even though I hate Hawthorn (1991) I hate Geelong more...
4) It feels good to drive around with Hawks coloured streamers in your car and get waves from rando people who obviously are also supporting the poo and wee...It nice to be part of something:)
5) My hard earned Tax dollars have pretty much bought the Grand final for this team...

Here is a real die hard supporter...

Here we are celebrating the game at the Honey's grand final party...You'll notice Chad is not in the pic, This is because he invited us all over and like a typical scaredy cat didn't show for the party...this is probably a good thing!! Considering the result...
Sunday night was family dinner night...this just happened to coincide with someones birthday...here is what our family dinners have been reduced to because of the Generation y/z factor and also since the introduction of the iphone...(You'll notice Oliver is now giving Simon tips on the iphone)Cake time...oh that's right Jessica turned 20...sorry no moving tributes on this blog...wahaha...
Came to cake time and there was a decided lack of fire starters in the house...thankgoodness for the Iphone...Okay after digging around Jayme finally got the show on the road...Unfortunately Oliver thought it was HIS job to blow out the candle...so a bit of suffocation fixed that problem...
Here is Jessica pretending to blow the candle out for the photo...guess who actually did?...Rohan got distracted and poof Oliver had it ALL under control...
So I was going to be nice and do a tribute to Jess but she wouldn't be sensible for my tribute pictures so she misses out...ba bow...

It was time to go and I was putting the camera away when...
Rohan " Take a picture of me"
Collette "Okay but it's going on the blog"
Rohan "Okay"...

aaaah it's ET!!
Simone please spell check my post I can't be bothered tonight ;)

And the winner is...

Tassie!!! Oh how I love it... September holidays p2...
Spending a week in Sydney....

Day one: Trip to Luna Park to discover how expensive it is...decide not to go in...take a picture for good measure and head to Manly...mmm found this REALLY good icecream bought all the way over here by our very own Princess Mary...not really but the shop is called Copenhagen Icecream...yummo...Mum and I chillin' at Manly Beach... (27 degrees I might add)Spending the day with the Polleys reminded me of our trip to Thailand and our little random adventures with Felicity...today was no different...we caught a bus up to North Head...Check out the awesome view...(Sydney, not me:)Hmm ANOTHER shot of the bridge...you'll find they come up alot in this post!! This time its BJ and I...
Tuesday night the Wheelers joined us so on Wednesday Jayme and I took a day trip to...you guessed it...Manly...
Just incase you were wondering we are singing....Opera...der....
When we got back to Circular Quay we met up with Lisa and Chris and decided to get a closer look at the Opera House...

Our Second last day was a Scorcher at 26 degrees...we took off to Bondi to see what the fuss was about...

Hmm personally I preferred Manly:)

But wait there's more...I saved the best for last...
The whole purpose of our trip was to visit the temple with people from our stake...
The temple was awesome and here are my favourite snaps...

It was Jayme's first visit to the Temple...

The sad part is now it's all over...back to work tomorrow...but it's okay because the next Holidays i'll be getting excited about will be the BIG holidays...YAY!!

September Holidays P1...

Friday 5th September I finished work and headed to Devonport with Dale and Jess for our Stake YSA overnighter...
The dance was really well decorated and the food was awsome and there were at least 5 people on the dance floor at all times which was pretty good for a YSA dance:)
Saturday we all headed to Camp Clayton to do some team challenges...Our team name was "Awesomeness" and of course we kicked butt:)
We did some Archery (shot a few cows)...Slack lining (I mastered that pretty quickly)...and a team challange where we rescued a bloke called Chris by carrying him across a swamp of DEADLY quicksand using planks of wood and flying foxes...only to find that we wearn't actually rescuing him ... at the end of the course there was a box we had to get him into... we decided this was his coffin...
Here is the team completing a challenge where you have to get a team member from one end of the log to the other without falling off...obviously this attempt wasn't successful...
After finishing up...heading home....and an afternoon nap...I headed off to Elphin for my bball GRAND final...only to find that I was LATE and had missed the whole first quarter...hmm luckily we won anyway and I got a trophy...yay:)
Sunday morning I headed down south to try and brighten the place up a bit...Spring means that its time to start preparing for the tennis season...a few happy snaps is a good start...

It was GREAT playing tennis with Ess again...(Oh and Fiona...but you know Ess and I have tennis history)
Also during the week Ess and I did a little shopping at Eastlands...and of course a trip to Eastlands wouldn't be complete without a stop at BOOST...
This little boy couldn't get enough of his mummas drink...So after a week of garden perusal, shopping, hot tubbing, tennis, squash and sun baking it was time to say goodbye...

As you can see I obviously didn't get enough sleep...luckily baby minol had his happy face on:)
