Halfway Hayden
Blogger has decided not to work on my laptop...so after much problem solving here is a catch up of the week...
Tuesday 23rd June many of the YSA finished their exams for this semester.
For Lewis Gibb and Alex Menzie it means the end of their university degrees!! Very exciting! For most others it just meant the stress was over...for a while at least...
For Hayden it meant he'd officially completed half of his degree... It was celebration time...time for icecreams, chips and potato cakes at Mures...Above Hayden is proudly showing off his 'halfway' pressies from Brodie Cluff (A 50cent coin and a used bus ticket)
Below everyone looking 'natural' for the blog pic...all be it a VERY fuzzy blog pic...

The HAPPY ysa:)...Who love having pictures taken just so Collette has something to blog about...
Wednesday night was ORIGIN 2...the second match in the three part series between Queensland and NSW...unfortunately this time I wasn't in the position to watch it live...but I got to Join some MAD Maroons supporters for the night...
Here's Jackson Bell, sporting his jersy and barracking for his team...
It was an AWESOME game...complete with 80's hair guy...Mormon boy...side part dude...a caveman sporting a side plait AND a BIFFO!!!
Carmen went all out this time...even making Jackson a custom headband so he could avoid cauliflower ears!!...

Ode to Holidays...
Holidays are for bumming around and reading books...Jamming on the piano...visiting friends...sleeping in...staying out late...attending trombone recitals...mending fences...spreading the swine flu...slumber parties...hot tubbing...indian banquets...dog fetching...
and...
MAKING WAFFLES!!...I really wanted to replicate the Melbourne waffle experience...I think we did a pretty good job!
Check it out...
Well the King family enjoyed them!! They were delish! Thanks to Jenny for the waffle iron (I NEED to get one!) and the "Crispy waffle" recipe...
Thursday night after tute I actually got to hang with the ysa instead of rushing home to bed...Hot choccies at the bakehouse...(This photo SHOULD include...Fiona and Brodie Cluff, Campbell and Myself....but ONLY includes Michael:)

What better way to spend a FREEZING cold holiday morning than a spot of fishing off the rocks...

The wee wedding...
The big day finally arrived!!...The best part was meeting Kyle's family...they are all HILARIOUS...dunno what happened to Kyle's sense of humour (jk Kyle...although I can TOTALLY pay you out now you're just another 'bro in-law')...
Kyle's dad Bobby is Scottish...so your challenge is to read this entire blog in a Scottish accent:) The Bonnie Lass Bridesmaids:)

Me good friend Scott
Here come the happy couple...
Right Person...Right Place...Right Time...
Okay picture this...you've just finished inside the Temple and you need to leave to catch a plane but there's a wedding on and the family is outside taking shots of the Bride and Groom and then the Bridesmaides...and then the Bridal party...this is taking FOREVER...and you REALLY need to go...what do you do??

hmm...Lets ask Gary and Lindy Prebble...
HAHA Why Sneak out of course...trouble is they snuck off in the wrong direction (Down towards the garden) ...They then had to 'sneak' back through again to get to the car park....You can imagine how much they got payed out...especially with Little Bro Scotty Prebble around!!
The Bridal Party...
How HOT does Jess look in this dress??

Mr and Mrs Andrews...
The family...
The photographer...
We had an awesome meal at Quafs in Toorak...beautiful food! We got to participate in a Scottish tradition where we all take a sip of 'Bru' from a large cup...Dylan is Kyles older brother and as MC he introduced this little ritual with two words...

"SwineFlu"
and
"Pretending"
As I sat opposite Chris, Scott and Quentin (three men with very dry humours) it was a great opportunity to do a 'Lame Joke' tally...in the end I think Chris came out on top...although I threw a few in
e.g. When choosing Entree and Mains I asked the waitress if it would be weird to have a Lamb Entree and then Steak Main would that be too much meat?
I then asked if having the Duck Entree and the Chicken Main would be a good Idea or would it be...wait for it...
"Killing two birds with one order"....HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
ah okay pretty Lame...
ah okay pretty Lame...
The weekend of the wedding also happened to be a Melbourne 'Mini-Convention' weekend so it was great to catch up with these 'traitors'...

My NEW favourite sport...
WHY??
Why did noone tell me about this game before??
What's she on about now? I hear you ask...
STATE OF ORIGIN!!
The night begins...with...
WAFFLES!! Those of you who know me know I have this weird obsession with Waffles...especially for brunch...well come on!! They are GOOD!...Mum and I found a 'Chocolate' shop that did Waffles drizzled in Chocolate for $5!! So I took Fiona there before the big game!
When we arrived we had some scalping to do...well not really...but Fiona had bought us General Admission tickets for $40 ea. but on the day a mutual friend invited us to join them in the 'Corporate seats' for FREE!! We were stoked but of course needed to recoup some money so after innocently selling off our tickets for $30 ea. (Yes BELOW cost which means it's NOT illegal) We headed in to check out our view...pretty good $10 view hey!!
It was a little rainy last week so the roof was closed and the atmosphere was intense...we were sitting there waiting for the teams to run out and who should they announce? None other than EVERMORE!! They performed three songs I was like...well this was already worth it we can go home now...but wait THERE'S MORE!!
Fiona used the money she saved on her ticket to purchase this awesome maroons scarf...
I'm definitely going to be watching the rest of the series!!

Now i've never watched an American superbowl but I guess this is Australia's crack at it cause as the teams started to run out all of these fire balls and sparklers started going off everywhere!!
The crowd were amazing and a MASSIVE roar went up when the maroons ran out onto the field...
The game was actually REALLY exciting...Fiona explained the rules to me so I knew what was going on and I LOVED it!
The photo above is me acting interested and the something interesting happening at that EXACT moment...so Fiona et al. are REALLY going off!! Classic!
