STATE OF ORIGIN!!
The night begins...with...
WAFFLES!! Those of you who know me know I have this weird obsession with Waffles...especially for brunch...well come on!! They are GOOD!...Mum and I found a 'Chocolate' shop that did Waffles drizzled in Chocolate for $5!! So I took Fiona there before the big game!
When we arrived we had some scalping to do...well not really...but Fiona had bought us General Admission tickets for $40 ea. but on the day a mutual friend invited us to join them in the 'Corporate seats' for FREE!! We were stoked but of course needed to recoup some money so after innocently selling off our tickets for $30 ea. (Yes BELOW cost which means it's NOT illegal) We headed in to check out our view...pretty good $10 view hey!!
It was a little rainy last week so the roof was closed and the atmosphere was intense...we were sitting there waiting for the teams to run out and who should they announce? None other than EVERMORE!! They performed three songs I was like...well this was already worth it we can go home now...but wait THERE'S MORE!!
Fiona used the money she saved on her ticket to purchase this awesome maroons scarf...

Now i've never watched an American superbowl but I guess this is Australia's crack at it cause as the teams started to run out all of these fire balls and sparklers started going off everywhere!!
The crowd were amazing and a MASSIVE roar went up when the maroons ran out onto the field...
The game was actually REALLY exciting...Fiona explained the rules to me so I knew what was going on and I LOVED it!
The photo above is me acting interested and the something interesting happening at that EXACT moment...so Fiona et al. are REALLY going off!! Classic!

Queenslands scoring end was our end for the first half so we saw ALOT of action....cause the blues didn't come up with much!!

hm...Just as touchy feely as the AFL when things go right!!...
The last 8min of the game were INTENSE with the Blues having a run of good luck and nearly equaling the score...but the Maroons held on for an exciting win!

Your post has nearly convinced me to be interested in rugby whichever one it is, but not quite, sounds like you enjoyed yourself though.
