Mullet Man

After the following effort i'm seriously considering giving up my teaching career for hair dressing... notice the awesome mullet...yup that was me!! Ye Ha! Only took me 20 min to cut and style (once we figured out the clippers and found some of Hayds dissecting scissors that he'd used on dead bodies cause he had no hair scissors...yuk!) ... good job i'd say!

Once upon a time a group of excited YSA headed off for a day trip at AGFEST...After settling in and trying to look the part the group decided to set themselves some challenges to make the day more interesting (As if AGFEST wasn't exciting enough) Challenge no. 1 - Find and collect as MUCH FREE STUFF as you can...
First score of the day...squishy dice with "Don't Die" Written on them:)Second Challenge= To find the most country bumkin looking stuff possible and have a pic with it...
When we hit the craft sheds I promised the group that we would find heaps of jumpers and such with sheep on them... LET DOWN...Agfest got 'hip' or something this year because it wasn't till the last stall in the last shed that we found this little knitted beauty... With AGFEST getting bigger and better each year it's quite easy to get lost amongst the crowd...lucky the organisers had thought of a solution for those chn that were lost and COULD READ!

Our best score of free stuff for the day was found in the telstra tent... CAPS, BAGS...
...and finally beach towels...were we at AGFEST or heading to the beach??

We had a great day and even got to sing along to Johnny Cash's epic classic "Ring of Fire" ......and they all lived happily ever after with their huge bounty of junk:)

Mayday..

Today is MAY DAY where everyone is supposed to dance around a MAY POLE unfortunately I don't own a maypole...hmm oh well here is a random pic from a lovely sunny morning in Bridport ... wasn't even taken today....

I did do some dancing today...tho it wasn't around a pole (Yes Simone I know that's not how you spell though) I danced the night away supervising the school social...woo hoo... I can now challenge anyone to a dance off as long as it's the Chicken Dance or the Macerana:) Bring it on!

Anzac day weekend..

Okay so it really sucks not having a camera and having to take dodgey pics on my phone...hence why I only have a few for this post...

This weekend Jess and I headed to Sunny Hobart for a YSA camp...Friday morning we braved the cold at the ANZAC day dawn service...then we warmed ourselves up with some brekky at the Kings ... Friday evening we headed down to the huon to set up camp...it was cold....and raining...but we had a fire and a yummo tin foil dinner...sleeping in the tent wasn't to bad until the sun started coming up and the temperature dropped and we started to FREEZE...

Saturday we headed back into town to catch up with Pes and baby Minol...he's getting so big now!

Saturday night we got ready for a true blue dinky di bush dance...

Okay so despite the whinges I have about living so far away...it is pretty awesome...this is the beach I get to walk along every day after school:)

Today we had Paul and Jackson visit to put in some new heaters for us:)

Driving days...

Living in Bridport and having a social life = LOTS of driving...so this is the view I see alot of...my dash board. Of course this pic was taken by my friend Fred as I would not be using my mobile phone while driving Constable Simon :) The Sky also looked sweet on this night of reflection...pity about the state of my windscreen!!
