OH MOST AWESOME THING EVA!! On the way back we saw some Whales in the BAY ... and one did a MASSIVE leap out of the water...just like on the movies...and made this MASSIVE splash...we watched them all the way back up the beach...awesome!...I was humming that Michael Jackson tune the whole way...you know the one they play at the end of Free Willie?...Yeah that one...oooh ooh oh oh oooooh hold me like a river blah blah...do do do do da da...i will be there e e eeeer....hm anyway

Coming Home...

It's funny when you're away from a place for a while you start to forget how AWESOME it is...it starts to become a distant memory...but then when you first encounter that place again a wave of emotion crashes over you and you think 'why the heck did I stay away so long!!' That's what it's like coming home...Because everyones been down to visit me over the past coupla months it's been a while since i've headed north...
I LOVE holidays...teacher's just don't get enough! Last week I spent in Hobart catching up with Friends during the week instead of having to squeeze them into the weekends...it was nice...Es and I got to hit the shops and go out for lunch...AWESOME!...
...I also got to panic about my new calling...eeek...good to get everything in order before getting back to the place I wanted to be... the GLORIOUS NORTH OF THE STATE...it doesn't help when you drive out of the gloomy hovel that is Hobart and head into the Glaring Sun that is Launceston...the birds are singing ...the breeze is gentle (and doesn't feel like a SNOW STORM) and the smell of woodfires fills your lungs...ah...the best!
First stop the Triffitts...for lots of cuddles and kisses...hm whats this? Only Hallie is home?...oh well she gets triple portion of Aunty Collette lovin'...After which...Simone put me to work...lucky I like ironing...Yes it was HEAPS...check it out...

hmm but my reward? the BEST chocolate pudding in he world! Simon's LEAST favourite dessert...oh well Simon...as you can see...MORE for me:)

I'm currently relaxing in Briddo...reading books and soaking up the view....ah if only I could be on Holidays forever...paid holidays that is:)

Once again...silly iphone pics...HURRY UP AND BRING MY CAMERA BACK ALREADY MUM!! ...ah that's better...been bottling that one up for a few blog posts now!...So apparently it's the international month of friends and family...i don't think i've had a week go by without a visit from someone...but August is drawing to a close now...was capped of nicely last weekend with a visit from FIONA ...She lives in Melbourne now...who would??...
We magaphoned Hobart...made waffles with Ess...Played Touch footy...watched chick flicks...did TWO wards on Sunday...well almost two...made the BEST chocolate cake in the world...attended a ysa fireside on dating and marriage...Made pizza...went out for dessert just before an intense basketball game...prolly not a good idea...went out for tea in North Hobart...and Fiona scored a ride on Marks bike...BUSY BUSY few days!
Miss her already!! COME BACK!!

Marvellous Mel and Munchies...

This is a TERRIBLE iphone pic of me and my bestie Mel at the Oatlands Bakery...She dropped in on her way up to Launny last Thursday for Hot Choccies and a chat...

Mel and I have been buddies since ....forever... we grew up in Launny ward together and I was her roomy on the Convention she met her EC at...We also played each other in High School Tennis...haha...good times! She always beat me!

Mel now lives in Adelaide with her cool as Hubby Pete... I'd love Mel to be back in tassie with us...maybe one day she will return...but for now our little catch ups will have to do!...Love ya Melly;)

After the Choral fest the YSA were hanging out and I decided to have my first drive of a roadbike...so Mark turns it on for me...I sit on it...Freak out remembering that the last bike with a motor I was on was a dirtbike and I went 3 metres and then dropped it...so I turned it off...haha...one day!
It was kinda cold...so the boot of the PARTY jazz was a good place to hang...Evidence of piano playing on Sunday...this MAY have been the 50th rendition of chopsticks or the 51st?
and Bek...actually PLAYING with the Barrell of Monkeys! Yes it did get used...good to see Camilla awake in this one too! haha...

Conference Capers...

This weekend was stake conference weekend for Hobart Stake...must confess it was kindof weird...for starters NO STAKE TALENT NIGHT!! What's with that? Instead a choral fest...I did the northerner name proud and represented in two items!! Second was NO ROAD TRIP to Devo for Saturday night session...no after conference maccas...no singing hymns in the car on the way there...
Third was NO AFTER CONFERENCE PICNIC on the Sunday...ah the blessings of only being 15min from the stake centre I guess...
Because of this I was home kind of early...hm what to do?? Turns out the YSA came over for some games...notice the INTENSITY of the afternoon...Camilla crashes out...Also you may notice the barrell of monkeys in the background...That's for you Jess:) A Sunday Favourite!
Thanks to whoever took that pic of milla cause apart from that I got nothing to show from the event so you'll just have to take my word for it when I say...
